They are most certainly not Copts as they have abandoned several Coptic traditions AS WELL as the Coptic (Alexandrine) Rite for the Holy Liturgy—even the Catholic Copts haven't bothered to abandon the Coptic Rite, NOR the seven sacraments. Nothing personal Sally, but your views are not necessarily reflected on the differences. While I, being Coptic Orthodox, admit that there are some similarities between the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Protestant Evangelical Church of Egypt, there are also large, fundamental differences between the two. While I, being Coptic Orthodox, admit that there are some similarities between the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Protestant Evangelical Church of Egypt, there are also large, fundamental differences between the two.
